The city correctly chose WM as the company to manage Jacksonville’s
waste in 1991; WM was by far the least expensive bidder and has proven
to be both reliable and technically superior. WM continues to
demonstrate that Jacksonville made the right choice.
There is an existing contract between WM and the city for the
development, permitting, and operation of the entire site. This
contract should be honored.
The restated contract has enhanced the agreement and provides even
greater benefits and savings to Jacksonville citizens and businesses.
WM’s services, expertise and savings are undeniable. It is time to
build upon the successful relationship between the City of
Jacksonville and WM.
